First, note the use of the singular “sin.”
Second, the result of sin ultimately is death
Third, when saved we are united with Christ
Our Position: Baptized, buried, and raised (vv. 3-5)
The Purpose: The Old man WAS Crucified, v. 6.
The Promise: vv. 7-10. “For” ... here’s what happens:
-Freed from sin,
-Now, if we ... we shall live with Him, v. 8
-Knowing, ... Death no longer has dominion, v. 9
-Death He died He died ONCE. But the life He lives He now lives to God, v. 10.
