Day 1

Discussion: Discuss the meaning of the phrases “the image of the invisible God” and “the firstborn of all creation.” What is the significance of these phrases? Also, discuss Jesus Christ’s role in the creation of all material things.

Discussion: How is Christ “the head of the body, the church”? What other passages speak of Christ being the head of the church? What implications flow from the headship of Christ over the church, and what errors might we fall into regarding authority in the church?
