DAY 1
SCRIPTURE: Daniel 4:28-33; Proverbs 16:18
DISCUSSION: In this section of Daniel, we see both “The Corruption of Pride” & “The Condemnation of Pride” (as described in the sermon notes). What is the source of pride? How does pride hurt a person’s spiritual life, and how have you experienced that in your own life? How can we root out pride in our lives?

DAY 2
SCRIPTURE: Daniel 4:34-35
DISCUSSION: Nebuchadnezzar, one of the most powerful men on the earth in his time, came through an experience of humiliation as an act of God’s judgment upon him. After that experience of facing God’s judgment directly, he came to realize that God was worthy of praise and that His power was immense and His kingdom never-ending. Spend some time praising the Lord for His greatness and offer up words of prayer extolling the greatness of our God.

DAY 3
SCRIPTURE: Daniel 4:36-37
DISCUSSION: The chapter ends with Nebuchadnezzar’s restoration. Had Nebuchadnezzar not repented, do you think the Lord would have restored him back to power? How do you think this experience impacted Nebuchadnezzar? Discuss a time in which you experienced God’s hand of judgment followed by His restoration of you. Spend some time thanking the Lord for these painful experiences that He used for good in your life.
