CONGREGATIONAL CALL TO WORSHIP

"I SAW THE LIGHT / I'LL FLY AWAY"

CHORUS

I saw the light, I saw the light;

No more darkness, no more night.

Now, I'm so happy, no sorrow in sight.

Praise the Lord, I saw the light!

VERSE 1

I wandered so aimless, life filled with sin.

I wouldn't let my dear Savior in.

Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night,

Praise the Lord I saw the light!

CHORUS

I saw the light, I saw the light;

No more darkness, no more night.

Now, I'm so happy, no sorrow in sight.

Praise the Lord, I saw the light!

VERSE 2

Just like a blind man, I wandered alone.

Worries and fears I claimed for my own.

Then like a blind man, who God gave back His sight,

Praise the Lord I saw the light!

CHORUS

I saw the light, I saw the light;

No more darkness, no more night.

Now, I'm so happy, no sorrow in sight.

Praise the Lord, I saw the light!

(repeat)

VERSE 3

Some glad morning when this life is over,

I'll fly away;

To a home on God's celestial shore,

I'll fly away.

CHORUS

I'll fly away, O glory,

I'll fly away;

When I die, hallelujah, by and by,

I'll fly away.

VERSE 4

Just a few more weary days and then,

I'll fly away;

To a land where joy will never end,

I'll fly away.

CHORUS

I'll fly away, O glory,

I'll fly away;

When I die, hallelujah, by and by,

I'll fly away,

I'll fly away,

I'll fly away.

VERSE 5

When death takes me down and I breathe here no more,

My anthem will sound on that eternal shore,

When I'm joined with the angels in heaven on high,

Singing: "Praise the Lord, He is the light!"

SCRIPTURE READING

LANDON CRENSHAW

1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-18

13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

CONGREGATIONAL SONG

"WHEN THE ROLL IS CALLED UP YONDER"

VERSE 1

When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound

And time shall be no more,

And the morning breaks,

Eternal, bright, and fair;

When the saved of earth shall gather

Over on the other shore,

And the roll is called up yonder,

I'll be there.

CHORUS

When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.

VERSE 2

On that bright and cloudless morning

When the dead in Christ shall rise,

And the glory

Of His resurrection share;

When the chosen ones shall gather

To their home beyond the skies,

And the roll is called up yonder,

I'll be there.

CHORUS

When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.

VERSE 3

Let us labor for the Master

from the dawn till setting sun,

Let us talk of all His wondrous

Love and care;

Then when all of life is over,

And our work on earth is done,

And the roll is called up yonder,

I'll be there.

CHORUS

When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder,

When the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.

CONGREGATIONAL SONG

"GLORIOUS DAY (LIVING HE LOVED ME)"

VERSE 1

One day when heaven was filled with His praises,

One day when sin was as black as could be,

Jesus come forth to be born of a virgin,

Dwelt among men, my example is He!

The Word became flesh,

And the Light shined among us--

His glory revealed!

CHORUS

Living, He loved me;

Dying, He saved me;

And buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever:

One day He's coming--

O glorious day!

O glorious day!

VERSE 2

One day they led Him up Calvary's mountain,

One day they nailed Him to die on a tree;

Suffering anguish, despised and rejected;

Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!

The hands that healed nations

Stretched out on a tree

And took the nails for me.

CHORUS

Living, He loved me;

Dying, He saved me;

And buried, He carried my sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever:

One day He's coming--

O glorious day!

O glorious day!

VERSE 3

One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,

One day the stone rolled away from the door;

Then He arose, over death He had conquered;

Now is ascended, my Lord evermore!

Death could not hold Him;

The grave could not keep Him

From rising again!

CHORUS

Living, He loved me;

Dying, He saved me;

And buried, He carried

My sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever:

One day He's coming--

O glorious day!

O glorious day!

Glorious day!

VERSE 4

One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,

One day the skies with His glories will shine;

Wonderful day, my beloved One bringing;

My Savior, Jesus, is mine!

CHORUS

Living, He loved me;

Dying, He saved me;

And buried, He carried

My sins far away;

Rising, He justified freely forever:

One day He's coming--

O glorious day!

O glorious day!

Glorious day!

Glorious day!

O glorious day!

O glorious day!

ADULT CHOIR

"HIS ROBES FOR MINE"

VERSE 1

His robes for mine; o wonderful exchange!

Clothed in my sin, Christ suffered 'neath God's rage

Draped in His righteousness, I'm justified.

In Christ I live, for in my place He died.

CHORUS

I cling to Christ, and marvel at the cost;

Jesus forsaken, God estranged from God.

Bought by such love, my life is not my own.

My praise, my all, shall be for Christ alone.

VERSE 2

His robes for mine: what cause have I for dread?

God's daunting Law Christ mastered in my stead.

Faultless I stand, with righteous works not mine,

Saved by my Lord's vicarious death and life.

CHORUS

I cling to Christ, and marvel at the cost;

Jesus forsaken, God estranged from God.

Bought by such love, my life is not my own.

My praise, my all, shall be for Christ alone.

VERSE 3

His robes for mine: such anguish none can know.

Christ, God's beloved, condemned as though His foe.

He, as though I, accused and left alone;

I, as though He, embraced and welcomed home!

CHORUS

I cling to Christ, and marvel at the cost;

Jesus forsaken, God estranged from God.

Bought by such love, my life is not my own.

My praise, my all, shall be for Christ alone.

VERSE 4

His robes for mine: God's justice is appeased.

Jesus is crushed, and thus the Father's pleased.

Christ drank God's wrath on sin, then cried "'Tis done!"

Sin's wage is paid; propitiation won.

CHORUS

I cling to Christ, and marvel at the cost;

Jesus forsaken, God estranged from God.

Bought by such love, my life is not my own.

My praise, my all, shall be for Christ alone.

CONGREGATIONAL SONG

"WHO CAN SATISFY MY SOUL LIKE YOU?"

VERSE 1

Who can satisfy my soul like You?

Who on earth could comfort me

And love me like You do?

Who could ever be more faithful, true?

I will trust in You,

I will trust in You, my God.

VERSE 2

Living Water, rain down Your life on me;

Cleansing me, refreshing me

With life abundantly.

River full of life, I'll go where You lead;

I will trust in You,

I will trust in You, my God.

CHORUS

There is a Fountain who is a King,

Victorious Warrior and Lord of ev'rything.

My Rock, my Shelter, my very own;

Blessed Redeemer who reigns upon the throne!

"DANIEL'S PROMISE FOR THE END TIMES, PART 1"

DANIEL 12:1-4

DR. TOM RUSH

SONG OF RESPONSE

"LIVING HOPE"

VERSE 1

How great the chasm that lay between us.

How high the mountain I could not climb.

In desperation I turned to heaven,

And spoke Your name into the night.

Then thro' the darkness, Your lovingkindness

Tore through the shadows of my soul.

The work is finished, the end is written.

Jesus Christ, my living hope.

VERSE 2

Who could imagine so great a mercy?

What heart could fathom such boundless grace?

The God of ages stepped down from glory

To wear my sin and bear my shame.

The cross has spoken, "I am forgiven."

The King of kings calls me His own.

Beautiful Savior, I'm Yours forever.

Jesus Christ, my living hope.

CHORUS

Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free!

Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me!

You have broken ev'ry chain,

There's salvation in Your name.

Jesus Christ, my living hope!

(repeat)

VERSE 3

Then came the morning that sealed the promise,

Your buried body began to breathe.

Out of the silence, the roaring Lion

Declared the grave has no claim on me.

Then came the morning that sealed the promise,

Your buried body began to breathe.

Out of the silence, the roaring Lion

Declared the grave has no claim on me.

Jesus, Yours is the victory!

CHORUS

Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free!

Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me!

You have broken ev'ry chain,

There's salvation in Your name.

Jesus Christ, my living hope!

(repeat)

ENDING

Jesus Christ, my living hope!

God, You are my living hope!
