Scripture: Genesis 18:19
Discussion: The reference for Sunday’s sermon (“A Godly Influence in the Home) is Genesis 18:19. The context of this passage is the promise of a son for Abraham & Sarah as well as judgment against Sodom and Gomorrah. How might the context help us understand Genesis 18:19 better? Consider the life of Abraham. How well did he live up to the command to lead his family spiritually?

Day 2
Scripture: Deuteronomy 4:9-10
Discussion: This passage places a heavy responsibility on the shoulders of parents. If you are a parent or grandparent, consider how well you are living in holiness so as to lead the younger ones in your family. Are you teaching them what you have learned from God’s Word? Ask any kids participating how well they are obeying their parents, grandparents and other family members in charge of raising them.

Day 3
Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:6-9
Discussion: The verses above remind us that instructing younger ones should be a consistent and normal part of life. Consider how you might be able to disciple the little ones in your life. If you don’t have little ones in your home, consider how you can help Ms. Melba in the children’s ministry or spend some time helping young parents by offering wisdom and encouragement. Pray for the Lord to use you in these ways.
