Last week I was able to share the great news that the lake property closed on September 14! Well, the results are in and note has been paid! Tabernacle is truly debt free!!! We will celebrate this great turning point in the life of our church next Sunday, September 27, with a note burning ceremony. I trust that you will make every effort to be a part of this very exciting event.
The mission and ministry of Tabernacle Baptist Church is now poised to move forward in a very positive manner. It has been my joy to serve as your interim pastor for just over a year. Even with the setbacks from the coronavirus pandemic, the progress we have made in revitalizing our church has been tremendous. Let us pray through the Spirit’s guiding, preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and praise our Holy Heavenly Father like never before. Truly, I believe that Tabernacle’s best days are just ahead.
Sunday School is on! Join us each week at 9:15 am! Please pray for your teacher and plan to be present with your family.
Lord willing, we will move on to Daniel 5 next Sunday and begin looking at the reality of the “Handwriting on the Wall.” What a difference between a King who was saved and one who rejected the message of salvation! In Daniel 5 the same mercy was available to Belshazzar that Nebuchadnezzar experienced, but he rejected it! [If you miss a sermon, please remember that all of our sermons can be accessed by audio here: https://www.tbcmacon.com/sermons]
As always, I am looking forward to what God will do at Tabernacle this coming Sunday. Please be present with your Bibles in hand as we worship the Lord together – once again, in-person!
Blessings, YFJS, Bro. Tom
