Angels

• Created by God, but different from human beings

• Holy. Morally good. Dwell in the presence of God

  • Mark 8:38, Revelation 14:10

• They do not have material bodies like we do.

  • Luke 24:39

• Intelligent, Powerful

• Worshipers of God

• Serve Him. Carry out His will

  • Peter in prison Acts 12:16-17

• Messengers of God’s Revelation

  • Gabriel to Mary Luke 1:26-38

• They serve believers. Hebrews 1:14, Psalm 91:11-12

  • No biblical evidence that each believer has their own guardian angel

• We have not authority over angels. They answer to God alone.

Archangels – Daniel 10:13

Cherubim – Genesis 3:24

Seraphim –Isaiah 6:1-7, Revelation 4:8

• Worship God (His holiness and power)
