God Acts With Patience and Justice – v. 3b

He is consistent

  • Condemnation

  • From long ago

  • Idle. Asleep.

    • Delay does not mean acceptance.

    • We see the wickedness of the day and may wonder…where is God’s judgment.

Love & Righteous Judgment

God Continues to Rescue and Judge Today – vv. 9-10a

If vv. 4-8 are true… THEN

God’s Unchanging Character

The Godly

The Unrighteous

  • Kept under punishment

  • Indulge in the lust of defiling passion

  • Despise authority.

  • Despise His Lordship.

Conclusion – Truths to Consider

  1. We do not need to fear false teachers and the schemes of the devil, why?

    • Because we have an assurance of our salvation. REPENTANCE AND FAITH.

    • We love God and pursue holiness.

    • We read, study, meditate, and apply the Word to our life. WE KNOW WHAT IS PLEASING TO THE LORD

  2. We trust Him and know that regardless of how this world treats me, I have a heavenly home in the presence of my Father.

  3. A word of warning. Stop playing around with God. He knows your heart, mind, and soul. Judgment is coming.
