Scripture: Luke 1:32; Galatians 4:3-4
Discussion: Christ was born of a virgin and born under the law so that He might live a perfect life and become a perfect sacrifice on our behalf. Why was it important that, as Bro. Tom stated, Christ lived an “Earthly Life of Perfection?” Spend some time thanking the Lord Jesus for fulfilling the law’s demands.

Day 2
Scripture: Luke 1:31; Matthew 1:21
Discussion: Even in the proclamation of Jesus’ birth, His death is mentioned by Him receiving the name “Jesus,” because he would “save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). What does this tell us of God’s intentionality in saving sinful humans and beings? If Jesus’ birth & sacrifice were clearly planned and intricately fulfilled, what does that tell us about His power to save and to keep us secure in His hands (John 10:28-30)?

Day 3
Scripture: Luke 1:32b-33
Discussion: Jesus is Lord! Bro. Tom fleshed out this thought by focusing on the two aspects of Christ’s kingdom. 1. He is Lord and sits on the throne of David. 2. He is Lord and sits on the throne of the lives of His people. He rules and reigns in both aspects. What should our response be? Are you adequately submitting to Christ’s rule and reign? He is worth praising and adoring, so spend some time personally worshiping our great Lord!
