Scripture: Luke 12:16-21
Discussion: The beginning of Sunday’s sermon featured a quote by Jim Elliott: “He is no fool who gives away that which he cannot keep in order to gain that which he cannot lose.” Jim Elliott was willing to leave possessions behind for the cause of the gospel, where he ultimately died at the hand of the Huaorani people who pierced him and his fellow missionaries with arrows. Discuss how Jim Elliott’s actions fit into Luke 12:16-21. Consider whether you are giving all for the spread of the gospel.

Discussion: Consider the application points at the end of Bro. Tom’s message: 1. Is your heart right with God (2 Cor. 9:6-11)? 2. Are you remembering God’s gift to you (2 Cor. 9:15)? 3. Are you stealing from God (Mal. 3:8-10)?
