Scripture: 1 John 1:1-2
Discussion: These opening verse to the book of 1st John speak very clearly to the firsthand evidence of Christ’s ministry on earth. We can be confident that our Lord walked this earth, gave His life for us, was raised, and ascended into heaven. First-century believers saw the Lord and experienced His ministry on earth. What other passages of Scripture give further evidence of Christ’s ministry on earth? What other facts give us confidence of what the Bible teaches concerning our Lord and Savior?

Scripture: 1 John 1:3
Discussion: In 1 John 1:3, we see the importance of proclaiming the truth of Christ to others. We also see here the importance of the fact that knowing Jesus brings us into fellowship with other believers as well as fellowship with God. What is the significance of the word fellowship? What implications flow from fellowship with others and fellowship with the Lord?
