  • God’s Divine Provision

  • Cultivating Christian Character.

  • Why should life transformation be the norm?

  • Because of HIS Power, His Promises, and

Because of His Power

His

  • Notice the source. We do not just stumble upon the presence of God. He calls us unto Himself and bestows His power.

Divine Power

  • The same resurrection power that raised Christ is the same power that raised us up when we were dead in our trespasses and sin.

Granted to us

  • His gift to us

    • Given. Received

All things that pertain to life and godliness

  • All we need. Life and Godliness

  • Justification. Sanctification. Glorification.

  • We HAVE ALL WE NEED.  It is there…through HIM

  • Spirit of God. Word of God. People of God.

Through the knowledge of Him

  • Understanding and acknowledging who He is.

  • What He has done. His significance upon man

Who called us to His own glory and excellence

  • The effectual calling of the Gospel

  • His perfection. We recognize our sin and His forgiveness

Because of His Promises

Granted to us

  • Literally. To make a gift. (past action with continuous results)

His promises

  • Salvation/Gospel promises

  • Precious and Great

  • Also, the promises found throughout Scripture. His Word

  • The joy of the gospel, Scripture, His promises

We Become Partakers

Through them

  • Promises. What the Gospel does.Our conversion.

We may become partakers of the divine nature

Escape the corruption that is in the world

  • A break from the world. Sinful desires

  • The corruption of sin. Its defilement.

  • New heart. New desires

  • OUR WANT TOOS CHANGE
